To work around the installation failure:
- Install the new Data-tier Application 18.2 (both x86 and x64 are required) on the Apex One server. It can be downloaded from this link.
- Install or re-run the Apex One server installer again.
Make sure that the account has the required roles and permission to log on to the server. For more information, you can refer to Required permissions to migrate OfficeScan/Apex One database using SQL migration tool.
It is also advised to disable the following features on the SQL during an Apex One server installation/upgrade/migration, including applying hot fix/patch/service pack/new version:
- Apex One DB is in the availability group
- SQL Cluster
- DB Replication
Once the task is completed, it’s okay to enable the features again.
