Error message "Unable to deploy.." when deploying Apex One policy from Apex Central

The Apex Central cannot deploy the policy to the Apex One server. When checking for the issue, it comes with a status "Unable to deploy: See Command Tracking".

The Server Name of OfficeScan web console URL in the control Manager web console is missed, and the value of Master_DomainName in the file ofcscan.ini is empty.

Root Cause Analysis

When checking the registered servers on Apex Central, the domain name of Apex One is missing.

The cause of this issue is that the value of the domain name is missing on the configuration file of the Apex One server.

To resolve the issue:

  1. On the Apex One server, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Trend Micro\Apex One\PCCSRV and open the ofcscan.ini as Administrator.

  2. Under [INI_SERVER_SECTION], fill the FQDN/Domain Name on the Master_DomainName section. Save the file.

  3. On the Apex One web console, go to Administration > Settings > Apex Central. Unregister the Apex One server then re-register it.

  4. On the Apex Central, make sure that the entity of the Apex One has been configured after registering. Navigate to Apex Central > Directory > Product > Directory Management.

  5. Re-deploy the policy.
