This article will show you how to use InterScan Messaging Security Virtual Appliance (IMSVA) to relay outbound mails to Office 365.
To use IMSVA as an SMTP relay, do the following:
- Access IMSVA WebGUI > Go to Administration > IMSVA Configuration > SMTP Routing > Message Delivery.
- Under Domain or Email Address, type a wildcard (*) to deliver all email message to the destination server.
- Under Delivery Method, chose the option Static routing.
Under Detailed Settings, specify the detailed destination server settings, including the server address (Microsoft Office 365 SMTP relay), port, and preference.Contact the Microsoft Support team for further information regarding Office 365 SMTP relay, if necessary.
Then click Add Destination Server.
The specified destination server will be added to the Destination Server List.
Once the IMSVA is in the De-Militarized Zone (DMZ), it requires two NICs. One for Incoming traffic and another one for Outgoing traffic. For more information, refer to Installing in the De-Militarized Zone section of the IMSVA Installation Guide.
