TMCAS utilizes Trend Micro Anti-Spam Engine (TMASE) to assign a score on each email it scans before tagging it as spam. An email will be tagged as spam by TMCAS based on the detection level of Advanced Spam Protection on the console.
Below are TMCAS's three (3) detection levels and their corresponding values:
Low | 7.0 |
---|---|
Medium | 5.0 |
High | 4.0 |
This means that TMASE computes what score to place on an email depending on the spam sensitivity on TMCAS, then tags an email as spam if it meets or exceeds the value of the sensitivity set.
