Some users may experience performance and/or crash issues on their Windows Server when Windows Defender is enabled. With the current flow, when the Trend Micro Worry-Free agent reports its status to Windows Security Center (WSC), Windows Defender will be stopped by the operating system. However, on Windows Server operating systems, Windows Security Center (wscsvc) Service is not running by default causing the Trend Micro Worry-Free agent and Windows Defender to co-exist resulting to performance related issues.
For more information regarding Windows Security Center, please refer to this Windows Server forum topic.
Trend Micro recommends users to disable the Windows Defender to server operating systems if issue is being experienced.
For the procedure, refer to How to turn off Windows Defender using Group Policy.
