ServerProtect for EMC-Celerra (SP-EMC) 5.8 is unable to recognize serial number

Summary
You switched off the ServerProtect service during a large data migration. When you switch on again the service, the operation shows a serial number error even if the serial number is valid.
The SPNT.log shows the following:

In a machine installed with EMC CAVA, the EMC CAVA service and the CAVA process should be running.
If CAVA is not running, the NS will read SP-EMC as SPNT, and then check the serial number according to the logic of SPNT. It turns out invalid because a serial number valid for SP-EMC may not be valid for SPNT.
To resolve the issue, verify if the EMC CAVA component is running. If not, refer to Starting the EMC CAVA and ServerProtect service.
