Most of SMD's default scheduled tasks are set to run at 4 A.M. This may cause high CPU usage, thus affecting email delivery.
To create a scheduled scan for the mailbox(es):
- Open smconf.nsf.
- Click Configuration > Policies then click Policy for mail server.
- Click the Scheduled Scan tab.
- Select Enable scheduled scan.
- Click Create new rule.
- Under the General tab, enter a name (i.e. scan mailbox).
- Under Databases to scan, select Specified database.
- Under Databases, type mail1.box;mail2.box;mail3.box.
- Under Scan schedule, set it to run at 5:00 AM daily.
- Click Save and Exit.
