Email delivery in ScanMail for Domino (SMD) are held at 4 A.M.

Summary

Most of SMD's default scheduled tasks are set to run at 4 A.M. This may cause high CPU usage, thus affecting email delivery.

To create a scheduled scan for the mailbox(es):

  1. Open smconf.nsf.
  2. Click Configuration > Policies then click Policy for mail server.
  3. Click the Scheduled Scan tab.
  4. Select Enable scheduled scan.
  5. Click Create new rule.
  6. Under the General tab, enter a name (i.e. scan mailbox).
  7. Under Databases to scan, select Specified database.
  8. Under Databases, type mail1.box;mail2.box;mail3.box.
  9. Under Scan schedule, set it to run at 5:00 AM daily.
  10. Click Save and Exit.
