Using the IWSS 3.1 for Windows management console, URL that had been identified as malicious or non-work related can be blocked by the Administration. The objects that can be use as identifiers for this action are either: website, keyword, or string.
To add specific URLs to block or accept by name or string:
- Select HTTP > URL Blocking > Via Local List.
- Type the website, keyword, or string to be blocked or accept in the field labeled Match.
- Use any of the following radio buttons to indicate the entry's type:
- Website
- URL keyword
- String
- Click Block to add the item to the "Block List" or click Do Not Block to add the item to the "Exceptions to Block List". The added item appears in the right-hand list with an asterisk.
- Click Save.
To import items exported from a Trend Micro Web Manager site:
- Place the exported file in the machine that hosts the IWSS web console.
- Select HTTP > URL Blocking > Via Local List.
- Enter the path name to the file. You can also click Browse to locate the file.
- Click Import. IWSS reads the file for both blocks and exceptions. Ensure that these items appear on the right lists.
- Click Save.
