This article shows you how to change the IP address for a managed domain. You will need this procedure if you changed the IP address settings of your receiving mail server and you need to configure HES/HES - Inbound Filtering to continue forwarding your emails to your domain.
To configure HES / HES - Inbound Filtering to forward mails to a new server IP or FQDN:
- Log on to the HES/HES - Inbound Filtering console.
- Go to Domains.
- Click the domain to be modified.
- Change the IP address or FQDN field.
- Click Save.
The domain status will change to "modifying" and will turn back to "activated" when the modification is done.Log off, and then log on to the HES/HES - Inbound Filtering console to refresh domain management information. It will take 24 hours at the most for the IP change process to complete.
- Use the Test Email option to send a test email after the IP/FQDN modification is complete.
