For HES users using outbound mail filtering, changing the IP/FQDN of a domain via HES Domain Management does not change nor update the outbound IP address.

To configure HES / HES - Inbound Filtering to forward mails to a new server IP or FQDN:

  1. Log on to the HES/HES - Inbound Filtering console.
  2. Go to Domains.
  3. Click the domain to be modified.
  4. Change the IP address or FQDN field.
  5. Click Save.

The domain status will change to "modifying" and will turn back to "activated" when the modification is done.

Log off, and then log on to the HES/HES - Inbound Filtering console to refresh domain management information. It will take 24 hours at the most for the IP change process to complete.
  6. Use the Test Email option to send a test email after the IP/FQDN modification is complete.
