Adding the Transport Layer Security (TLS) information in the "Received" message header

Summary
When TLS (Transparent Layer Security) is enabled in IMSA, the TLS information is not included in the headers of the message it has processed from another server or SMTP client that uses TLS.
The SMTP over TLS support is not enabled by default in IMSA.

Public
The “smtp server” part of Postfix (the first daemon that listens on port 25) can add the TLS information to the "Received" message header of an incoming message.
Example:
Received: from mail.teamkerberos.net (mail.teamkerberos.net [10.10.10.10])
(using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits))
(No client certificate requested)
by imsa7.trendmicro.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 89AA9E3992
for administrator@trendmicro.com; Mon, 12 Nov 2007 19:05:02 – 0500 (EST)
To enable this feature in Postfix:
  1. Run the following command in a shell on the IMSA box
    postconf –e smtpd_tls_received_header=yes
    Note: The IMSA box must be connected thru Hyperterminal or SSH.
  2. Reload the Postfix by running the following command:
    postfix reload
  3. Run the following command to check the value for the smtpd_tls_received_header:
    postconf smtpd_tls_received_header
