This issue occurs when:
- For outbound emails
You set Microsoft Outlook in cache and offline mode. This will make WFBS Advanced send notifications to the Outbox and Sent Items folders of your mail client.
- For inbound emails
You set Outlook in cache mode, or set the Action settings to Archive/Pass. This will trigger the SMTP and Store scans, and WFBS Advanced will send out a notification for each of these scans.
To resolve the issue:
- Open the Registry Editor (regedit.exe).
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\ScanMail for Exchange\CurrentVersion.
- Check if the following key exists:
Data value: 0 (disabled), or 1 (enabled)
- If the key exists, make sure its data value is set to "1". If the key does not exist, add the registry key and enable it.
