This article contains steps in changing the default OfficeScan client/agent installation path from the default $ProgramFiles\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client to another location.
To modify the default OfficeScan client/agent installation path:
- On the Officescan Server, open the ..\PCCSRV\ofcscan.ini file using a Text editor.
- Look for the following sections:
[INI_CLIENT_DEFAULT_INSTALLPATH_SECTION] WinNT_InstallPath=$ProgramFiles\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client
[INI_CLIENT_INSTALLPATH_SECTION] WinNT_InstallPath=$ProgramFiles\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client
- Edit the path to reflect the new path for the OfficeScan client installation. For example, if you want OfficeScan to be installed on drive D:, the lines should look like the following:
[INI_CLIENT_DEFAULT_INSTALLPATH_SECTION] WinNT_InstallPath=D:\OfficeScan Client
[INI_CLIENT_INSTALLPATH_SECTION] WinNT_InstallPath=D:\OfficeScan ClientYou may notice that there's another line that points to the OSCE client directory. You don't have to change the $ symbol under the [ICRC setting section] (seen below) line to the target directory. Keep it as it is.
[ICRC setting section] ICRC pattern directory=$ProgramFiles\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client\iCRC\Pattern ICRC temporary directory=$ProgramFiles\Trend Micro\OfficeScan Client\iCRC\Tmp
- Save and close the file.
