This article guides you on how you can check if the outbound filtering feature is enabled in HES.
You will need the help of Trend Micro Technical Support in setting up the outbound filtering feature of HES. If outbound filtering has been set up for your account, your organization will receive an email confirmation from Trend Micro stating that the feature has been enabled and which server the relay access will point.
To confirm if outbound filtering is enabled:
- Log on to the HES console.
-
Click Outbound Protection > Policy.
-
Check the rules in your policy list. Outbound filtering is enabled if these four default rules are added:
- Outbound - Virus
- Outbound - High-Risk Attachment
- Outbound - Exceeding msg size or # of recipients
- Outbound - Spam or Phish

If these rules are not in the list, outbound filtering is not enabled.
