Error message: Please enter a valid domain
Enter the domain name and not the mail server's hostname.
Here are examples of entries that will trigger this error:
- mail.domain.com
- http://www.domain2.com/
The valid entries are:
- domain.com
- domain2.com
Error message: No MX record found for the Domain
The entered domain does not have existing MX record. Make sure that the domain being registered to HES / HES - Inbound Filtering is valid, capable of receiving mails, and has an existing MX record.
Error message: Domain and IP Address are not mapping
This issue occurs because the system checks if any of the current MX records of the domain matches the provided IP to avoid typographical errors.
To check the current MX of your domain, enter the following command in a DOS command prompt:
nslookup -query=mx place_domain_name_here
If the IP is correct but is not currently among the domain's MX records, follow the steps provided in this article: "The IP address entered does not match the mail server address of the domain" appears when adding new domain in the HES console
