Testing the Web Reputation Services (WRS) feature in InterScan VirusWall (ISVW) 7.0

A WRS score is a reputation score based on factors such as a website's indications of suspicious activities discovered through malware behavior analysis. 
High score of a site indicates that the site is safe.

Below are the thresholds for the WRS security level:
  • High - 80
  • Medium - 65
  • Low - 50
You can use the following test websites to test the different settings:
To perform the test, do the following:
  1. Log on to the ISVW administrator console using this URL format:
    http://<ip/name>:9240/html/index.htm
  2. Go to HTTP > Web Reputation.
  3. Select Web, then click Configure Web Reputation.
  4. Make sure that Web Reputation Scanning is enabled by selecting the Enable HTTP real-time Web Reputation checking checkbox.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Make sure that the Security Level is set to Medium.
  7. On a client machine, open a web browser and visit http://wrs61.winshipway.com/.
    This website will be blocked.
If you want to test the different security levels, repeat the procedure but use the other test websites for Step 7.
