To upgrade the Domino server:

  1. Stop the Domino server.
  2. Create a backup of the SMID databases under the ../data/SMD folder.
  3. Uninstall SMID from the current Domino server.
  4. Upgrade to Domino environment.
  5. Install SMID on Domino 8.0.
  6. Apply the latest patches or service packs applicable to your SMID version.
  7. Stop the Domino server.
  8. Restore the SMID databases.
  9. Reload the Domino server.
