Windows 2003 server becomes very slow and eventually stops responding

Windows 2003 SP2 x86 becomes too slow in a large network traffic even without InterScan Messaging Security Suite (IMSS) installed. Furthermore, all network-related commands, such as “ipconfig –all”, have no response.

This issue happens because some old network drivers cannot work with Microsoft Scalable Networking Pack (SNP).
To resolve this, you need to install the latest Windows patch. Contact the hardware vendor to obtain the latest network adapter driver.
