The installation program for TMSM server installs Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.6.0 Update 14 before installing the product. If a previous version of JRE has been installed, its corresponding service call Java Quick Starter (JQS) is already running and the installation will stop responding.
To avoid this issue, the JQS service should be disabled before installing the TMSM server. However, if you already encountered this, then you need to modify the Java control setting to resolve the issue.
Do the following:
- Click Start > Control Panel > Java.
- Open the Java Control Panel and then open the Advanced page.
- Expand Miscellaneous on the panel and then deselect the Java Quick Starter box.
