Summary
Set up folders on your computer to sync with your Trend Micro SafeSync online storage. You can select which folders you want Trend Micro SafeSync to monitor. Any changes made to these folders will be kept on your online storage.
This will allow you to use another computer or a mobile device to access your files from anywhere and still get the same data.
Details
- Make sure that you have the latest version of Trend Micro SafeSync installed on your computer. Refer to the following solutions for help:
- Open the settings of your Trend Micro SafeSync program. Do one of the following:
- Go to Start > All Programs > Trend Micro SafeSync > SafeSync Settings.
- Right-click the Trend Micro SafeSync icon on your system tray, then click Settings.
- Go to Start > All Programs > Trend Micro SafeSync > SafeSync Settings.
- Click the Sync tab. A list of folders that is synced to your online storage will appear.
- Click Add another folder to the list.
- Select the folders you want to sync and then click Next.
- Choose from the following options:
- To create a new folder on your only storage, select Create a new online folder. Type a name for the folder you want to add to your online storage and then click Finish.
- To add a folder and its contents to an existing folder on your online storage, select Connect to an existing folder and then click Finish.
The folder and its contents will be stored on your online storage. Any changes you make on your local folder will be applied to its online version. - To create a new folder on your only storage, select Create a new online folder. Type a name for the folder you want to add to your online storage and then click Finish.
- Check the lower-left corner of the screen to see the status of the sync. It should show “Status: All files are up to date” once you have synced your files.
