Domain status stays in "Adding" state in Hosted Email Security (HES)

You have redirected your domain's MX record to HES, but the domain's status still shows "Adding" and will not change to "Activated".

To resolve the issue, choose any of the following options:

  1. Log on to the HES console.
  2. Go toDomains.
  3. Tick the box of the domain you want to verify, click Check MX record to force HES to verify your MX record redirection.

     
    Full DNS propagation may take 24 to 48 hours globally. It may take time for HES DNS servers to recognize changes to your MX records.

Lower the value of your DNS TTL (time to live) to allow other DNS servers around the world to recognize the changes you have done at a shorter time.

Shorter TTLs can cause heavier loads on an authoritative nameserver, but can be useful when changing the address of critical services like web servers or MX records. This is why TTLs are often lowered by the DNS administrator before moving a service in order to minimize disruptions.
