Trend Micro normally excludes the database from being scanned in real-time due to some scanning latency and server performance. However with Oracle Database, the following are the recommended items:

1.  Exclude the Oracle database folder, especially those that are accessed frequently, like storage
     of temporary files.

2.  Set the scheduled scan to scan those folders on peak hours.

3.  For OfficeScan clients connected to the Oracle server via mapped drivers, disable the
network scanning to prevent double scanning.

4.  Lastly, include the following directory path and objects which are:
     ·  Data file
        Example: \oracle\oradata\*.dbf

     ·  Redo files
        Example: \oracle\Inventory\logs\*.log

     ·  Control files
        Example: \oracle\oradata\*.ctl

IMPORTANT:

Trend Micro does not advise excluding entire directories (such as the Oracle database directory and subdirectories) from scanning as this poses a potential high security risk.
