Managing files and folders in SafeSync for Business

To download, rename and edit files and folders, choose your operating system below:

Download files and folders

  1. Go to the SafeSync website.
  2. Type your email address and password, then click Sign In.
  3. Tick the file(s) or folder(s) you want to download.
  4. Check the Common Task section on the left column of the screen for allowed actions you can perform on the selected item(s). You can also right-click the file or folder to view the allowed actions.

  5. Click one of the following depending on what you want to download.
    • Download this file
    • Download this folder
    • Download this photo

  6. Select where you want to save the file, then click OK. A notice will appear once the download is complete.

Rename files and folders

  1. Go to the SafeSync website.
  2. Type your email address and password, then click Sign In.
  3. Tick the file(s) and folder(s) you want to rename.
  4. Check the Common Task section on the left column of the screen for allowed actions you can perform on the selected item(s). You can also right-click the file or folder to view the allowed actions.
  5. Select one of the following options:
    • Rename this file
    • Rename this folder
    • Rename this photo

  6. Type the new name of the file or folder and click Rename.

Edit files

  1. Tick the file you want to edit.
  2. On the Common Task section, click Edit on your computer. You can also right-click the file to view the allowed actions. The file will automatically download and open.
  3. Save the file after you are done editing. The file will automatically be synchronized with the same file on your Trend Micro SafeSync online storage.
  1. Open SafeSync from the Start Screen.

  2. Sign in using your Trend Micro Account (MyAccount) credentials.

  3. Do any of the following:
    • Rename files and folders
    • Restore files and folders 
    • Create or add a new folder
      1. Navigate Personal Folders and choose where you want to create the new folder.

      2. Right-click anywhere inside the chosen folder location and then click New Folder at the bottom right corner of the screen.

      3. Type the desired folder name. 
    • Delete files and folders
      1. Navigate Personal Folders and look for the file or folder to be deleted. 

        Select the file to delete

      2. Right-click the file or folder and then click Delete.
