Changing the Cloud Pre-filter account in InterScan Messaging Security Virtual Appliance (IMSVA)

Summary

Revert to the old Cloud Pre-filter account if a new one is created while reinstalling IMSVA.

The Cloud Pre-filtering service only allows one account to manage a specific domain. Because the old Pre-filter accounts still exists, the domains it is managing cannot be added into the new account.

To revert to the old Cloud Pre-filter account:

  1. Log in to the IMSVA CLI as root.
  2. Remove the account information:
    • For IMSVA 8.0
      1. Enter the path /opt/trend/imss/UI/adminUI/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/.
      2. Open and edit the prefilter.properties file.
      3. Change “gw_user=” to “gw_user=”.
    • For IMSVA 8.2, 8.5, and 9.0
      1. Run the following command line:
        #/opt/trend/imss/PostgreSQL/bin/psql -Usa imss -c "UPDATE tb_global_setting SET value ='' WHERE name='gw_user' and section='pre-filter';"
      2. Restart the IMSVA admin console using this command:
        #/opt/trend/imss/script/S99ADMINUI restart
  3. Log back in to the IMSVA console and then click Cloud Pre-Filter to go to the Create/Authenticate Cloud Pre-Filter Account section.
  4. Answer the "Do you have a Cloud Pre-Filter account?" question by selecting Yes.
  5. Enter the previous account name and then select the key file of this account.
