You encounter a system error while configuring the WFBS Advanced MSA in any of the following scenarios:
- The Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent Master Service is not running.
- The TCP/IP protocol for the SQL server is not enabled on 64-bit computers.
To resolve the issue:
- Start the Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent Master Service.
- Click Start > Run and type "services.msc" on the Open field.
- Right-click Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent Master Service and select Start.
- Enable the TCP/IP protocol for the SQL server.
- Click Start > All Programs.
- Go to Configuration Tools and select SQL Server Configuration Manager.
- Under SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, click Protocols for Scanmail.
- Enable the following:
- Shared Memory
- Named Pipes
- TCP/IP
- Under SQL Native Client Configuration, click Client Protocols.
- Enable the following:
- Shared Memory
- Named Pipes
- TCP/IP
- Close all active windows and try to configure the Trend Micro Messaging Security Agent.
