"Upgrade is not supported..." appears when upgrading PortalProtect to the latest version

The following error message appears when trying to upgrade the PortalProtect:

Upgrade is not supported for the current installed version. Uninstall the current installed version before installing PortalProtect. Refer to the installation Guide for system requirements.

This upgrade issue shows that PortalProtect 2.0 or 2.1 utilizes new design and database schema. This means that you cannot upgrade old version of PortalProtect to the latest version directly. The only way to do so is to perform a fresh install the latest version.

If you encountered issues related to the product license or the activation code used in the previous Portal Protect version, please contact your local Trend Micro reseller.
