Generating virus or malware logs:

  1. Log on to the OfficeScan server console.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • For OfficeScan 10.x: Go to Networked Computers > Client Management.
    • For OfficeScan 11.0 / XG: Go to Agents > Agent Management.
  3. Select the domain/group/computer where you want to generate the logs from and then click Logs > Virus/Malware Logs.

To generate a summary of the virus/malware logs of all the clients/agents managed by the server, click on the OfficeScan server domain.
  4. Specify the log criteria and then click Display Logs.

The logs section contains the following columns/fields:

    • Date and time of virus/malware detection
    • Infected computer
    • Virus/Malware name
    • Infection source
    • Infected file
    • Scan type that detected the virus/malware
    • Virus/Malware Scan Results (if scan action was done successfully or not)
    • Log details (click View to see the details)
  5. To save the log to a comma-separated value (CSV) file, click Export to CSV. Open the file or save it to a specific location. A CSV file usually opens with a spreadsheet application, such as Microsoft Excel.

Generating client/agent listing logs:

  1. Log on to the OfficeScan server console.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • For OfficeScan 10.x: Go to Networked Computers > Client Management.
    • For OfficeScan 11.0 / XG: Go to Agents > Agent Management.
  3. Select the domain/group/computer where you want to generate logs from, and then click Export.

To generate a summary for all the clients/agents managed by the server, click on the OfficeScan server domain.
  4. Click Save.

Normally, both virus/malware and client/agent listing logs are requested to provide a more detailed checking for virus/malware infection for single or multiple infections. Trend Micro Technical Support may ask for other reports/information if necessary.
