Debug log files are filling up the hard drive in Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS)

Debug log collection is enabled and gathering log files. You cannot find an option in the WFBS console to stop it.

To resolve the issue, disable the debug log collection:

  1. On the computer where you are experiencing the issue, go to the ..\ Trend Micro\AMSP\ folder.
  2. Open the AMSPlogfilter.ini file using a text editor like Notepad, then set value of entries below as shown:

    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_AEGIS=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_AEGIS_PEM=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_AEGIS_WLCHK=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_DCE=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_IAU=3
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_ICRC=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_SSAPI=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMFBE=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMLCE=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMLES=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMPFW=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMPROXY=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMSA=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMUFE_FR=0
    LOG_INFO_TYPE_ENGINE_TMUFE_UF=0

  3. Unload and reload the WFBS client.

    To unload the agent:

    1. Right-click on the WFBS Agent icon on the system tray, then click Exit Worry-Free Business Security.
    2. Provide the password to unload the WFBS Agent.

    To reload the agent:

    1. Click on Start > All Programs > Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Agent > Worry-Free Business Security Agent.
  4. Manually delete all the generated debug logs.
