Renewing the Product License for InterScan Messaging Security (IMSS) via management console

Summary

IMSS normally downloads updates on a scheduled manner. However, when the product subscription is running out or if there are new components to be activated, you need to update the product using the management console.

To update the license:

  1. Log on to the IMSS management console.

  2. Go to Administration > Product Licenses.

    Product License

  3. To update a current Activation Code with renewed subscription, click the Check Status Online button. This will contact the Trend Micro Online Licensing Server and update the IMSS installation with the updated maintenance expiration.

    If you acquired a new Activation Code, go to the corresponding section in the License Windows and click the Enter a new code link.

  4. Once the license is updated, update the antivirus pattern files and antispam databases.
