High CPU usage occurs because of the Worry-Free Business Security (WFBS) cgiRecvFile.exe process

The WFBS Server has a high CPU usage caused by the cgiRecvFile.exe process.

To resolve the issue, do any of the following:
Option 1: Recreate the WFBS database
  1. Click Start > Run and type "services.msc".
  2. Stop the Trend Micro Security Server Master Service.
  3. Go to %Program Files%\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV.
  4. Rename the HTTPDB folder as HTTPDB_OLD.
  5. Restart the Trend Micro Security Server Master Service.
  6. Reproduce the issue.
Option 2: Clean the WFBS temp folder
  1. Click Start > Run and type "services.msc".
  2. Stop the Trend Micro Security Server Master Service.
  3. Remove all the files and sub-folders of the the %Program Files%\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\temp folder.
  4. Restart the Trend Micro Security Server Master Service.
  5. Reproduce the issue.
Option 3: Install WFBS 7.0 Patch 1 build 1435
  1. Install WFBS 7.0 Patch 1 build 1435.
  2. Click Start > Run and type "services.msc".
  3. Stop the Trend Micro Security Server Master Service.
  4. Go to %Program Files%\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Web\CGI.
  5. Rename the cgiRecvFile.exe and CGIShell.dll files as "cgiRecvFile_old.exe" and "CGIShell_old.dll" respectively.
  6. Import the files from the hot fix to %Program Files%\Trend Micro\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Web\CGI.
  7. Restart the Trend Micro Security Server Master Service.
  8. Reproduce the issue.
    If the issue persists, contact Trend Micro Technical Support.
