The error is due to the compatibility issue between TMEE and Adobe plug-ins. When the two plug-ins interacts with each other, the error occurs. However, the plug-ins work fine when used independently.
To resolve the issue, close TMEE and disable its plug-ins from Outlook:
  1. Right-click the TMEE icon from the system tray, and then select Shutdown.
  2. Enable TMEE.
    1. Click Start > All Programs.
    2. Select Trend Micro Encryption for Email.
    3. Click Tray Tool.
  3. Disable TMEE plug-ins:
    1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
    2. Go to Tools > Trust Center > Add-ins.
    3. Click Go.
    4. Look for and take note the file location of Private Post. This information will be used for re-enabling the add-in.
    5. Remove Private Post.
    6. Click OK.
To enable again the TMEE plug-in:
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Go to Tools > Trust Center > Add-ins.
  3. Click Go.
