Public
It is required to change the server name used to contact the PolicyServer on a deployed Full Disk Encryption PC.
Endpoint Encryption developed an executable that is a scriptable tool that can change the server name on a Full Disk Encryption PC. You will have to run this executable in Windows on each Full Disk Encryption PC that you want to change the server name. The executable must run with Windows Administrative level credentials.
Below are some scripted examples on how to use it:
  • C:\Temp\ChangeServer.exe PolicyServer.Company.com
This script will change the server name on a Full Disk Encryption PC to "PolicyServer.Company.com. If you run PolicyServer on a different port from the default (Port 80), you need to add the port number at the end of your server name to achieve this.
  • C:\Temp\ChangeServer.exe PolicyServer.Company.com:443
The other method available to change the server name on a client PC is to access the Recovery Console on the PC, select Network from the menu, and change the name in the Network Settings.
Request the ChangeServer.exe file from Trend Micro Technical Support. If you are a Premium Support Program (PSP) client, contact your Technical Account Manager (TAM).
