Non-English OfficeScan version cannot download and install English Plug-in Service

You are unable to download English Plug-in Service for non-English OfficeScan. OfficeScan only supports download of the same language Plug-in Service from Trend Micro ActiveUpdate.

As a workaround for this issue:

  1. Choose from the list of language ID:
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_ENU 1
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_CHT 2
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_JPN 4
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_CHS 8
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_KOR 16
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_DEU 32
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_FRA 64
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_ESP 128
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_ITA 512
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_POL 4096
    • #define TM_AU_LANGUAGE_RUS 8192
  2. Open the Registry Editor.
     
    Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.
  3. Change the value of the following registry key to "1":

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\service\ AoS\OSCE_Addon_Service_CompList_Language

  4. Close the Registry Editor.
  5. Restart the OfficeScan Plug-in Manager service.
  6. After downloading and installing the English Plug-in Service, change the key back to your language ID. Perform Steps 2 to 5.
