Learn how to use the Policy Server Change Setting tool. This tool allows viewing and modifying the SQL login account, password, and/or the SQL Server as well as specify a Failover SQL server.
The tool is located in the …\TMEE_PolicyServer\Tools\PolicyServer Change Settings\ folder of the extracted install file of the Policy Server.
To use the Policy Server Change Setting tool:
- Copy the PolicyServerChangeSettings tool to a folder in the Policy Server.

Run the tool and after accepting the Terms and conditions, a popup box will display the current settings used by the Policy Server.

Options:
Load From Disk | Loads current saved SQL database settings from disk |
Test Connection | Tests connection to the SQL database using the current field inputs |
Write To Disk | Overwrites SQL database saved settings with current field inputs |
Restart PS | Restarts the PolicyServer Windows service |
Change Service Credentials… | Change credentials used by the PolicyServer Windows service |
Use Primary Settings for Log Database | Use the same settings for Primary and Log database |
UserID | Specifies the SQL account that will be used to connect to the SQL server in the Server and Failover fields |
Password / Confirm Password | Specifies the password for the SQL account in UserID field |
Server | Specifies the SQL server where the databases are located |
Failover | Specifies the SQL Server to use as failover |
