To manually enable SSL:
  1. Generate a self-signed SSL certificate using makecert.exe. This Microsoft tool is packaged with the OfficeScan 7.0 installer.
  2. Open a command prompt and go to the $:\Program Files\Trend Micro\PortalProtect\Private\certificate directory.
  3. Run the command below:
    "$:\Program Files\Trend Micro\PortalProtect\Private\certificate\makecert.exe" -r -pe -n "CN=<FQDN>,CN=<Hostname>,CN=127.0.0.1;CN=localhost,O=Trend Micro PortalProtect for Microsoft SharePoint" -b 08/01/2011 -e 08/01/2014 -eku 1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1 -ss my -sr localMachine -a sha1 -sky exchange -sp "Microsoft RSA SChannel Cryptographic Provider" -sy 12<
    where CN=<actual server name>
  4. Open the Internet Information Services Manager and then expand Server.
  5. Select Portal Protect Website.
  6. Click Bindings.
  7. Select https and click Edit.
  8. Under SSL certificate, select Local Host.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Restart PortalProtect Master service.
  11. Access the management console using SecureSite and check the results.
