Identifying a machine's hostname with SecureCloud and Deep Security

The Deep Security status is not showing in the SecureCloud console.

This is happens because of an incorrect hostname used in the Deep Security client machine.
You need to identify the correct hostname of the machine with the SecureCloud and Deep Security agent.
To resolve the issue:
  1. On the client machine, find and run cspahrness to get the local-hostname.
    Linux: /var/lib/securecloud
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\SecureCloud\Agent\cspharness.exe
  2. Enter the path to the available plugins:
    1. cloudstack.zip
    2. amazonaws.zip
    3. native.zip
    4. vcloud.zip
    Linux: /var/lib/securecloud/
    Windows:C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\SecureCloud\Agent\
  3. Copy the "local-hostname" value.
    local-hostname
If registered, unregister your Deep Security agent:
  1. On your DSM console, click Computers.
  2. Select the FQDN of the registered agent.
  3. Click delete.
If not, register your Deep Security Agent:
  1. Click Computers > New > New Computer.
  2. Put the value of the "local-hostname" in the Hostnamefield.

  3. Click Next > Finish.
