Use this procedure to redeploy a policy created in TMCM/Apex Central. This is useful because settings configured through the policy are not locked, and an administrator can log directly into the target product and change the deployed settings. These modifications will immediately take effect, and the policy may need to be deployed again from TMCM/Apex Central to the product.
- Another administrator logs into OfficeScan and changes the product's policy back to smart scan mode. The OfficeScan clients immediately revert to smart scan mode.
- An administrator creates a policy wherein all OSCE clients from a domain labeled “conventional” will have conventional scan mode.
- The administrator deploys the policy, and it is applied to all OfficeScan clients in the conventional domain.
- Open the management console.
- Access the console by doing any of the following:
- Locally: Click Start > Programs > Trend Micro Control Manager > Trend Micro Control Manager.
- Remotely: On your browser's address field, type “http(s)://<host name>/WebApp/login.aspx” to open the Log On screen.
The hostname is the TMCM server's fully qualified domain name (FQDN), IP address, or server name.
- Enter the username and password.
- Click Log On.
- Access the console by doing any of the following:
- On the top menu, select Policies > Policy Management. This will open the Policy Management window.
- Click the name of the rule to be deployed to open the Edit Policy page.
- Click Deploy at the bottom of the page.
