Managing or configuring Plans in SafeSync for Enterprise

Summary

Most organizations have many departments, business units, or projects that each have users with different storage requirements. Plans allow you to set different granularity storage privileges to different SafeSync users. Plans can control the maximum allowed.

Before configuring plans or adding new accounts, administrators must configure the Active Directory (AD) settings and end-user web console connection settings.

To manage or configure a plan, log in to the SafeSync web console and do the following:

  1. Go to Plans.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Specify the the following information for the new plan on the provided fields:
    • Name
    • Description
    • Storage in GB
    • Maximum upload speed MB/s
    • Maximum download speed MB/s
    • Number of Version Backups to keep
  4. Click Save.
 
Saving more version backup requires more storage space. Trend Micro recommends setting this to the lowest number required by your organization.
  1. Go to Plans.
  2. Click any plan name in the Name column.
  3. Specify any changes to the plan, and then click Save.

After deleting a plan, all users or groups currently assigned to this plan will be reassigned to the default plan.

  1. Go to Plans.
  2. Mark the check box next to the plans you wish to delete.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Review all users affected by the change, and then click Yes.
  1. Go to Plans.
  2. Click any user or AD group in the Groups/Users column.
  3. Review the users and group assignment.
