Using the CF Violation Forwarding feature in ScanMail for Exchange (SMEX)

CF Violation Forwarding is a feature in SMEX that provides an option to forward email messages that violate content filtering rules to a specific administrator or other recipients, such as the sender's manager.

By default, CF Violation Forwarding is disabled in SMEX.
To enable this feature:
  1. Open the ScanMail Management Console.
  2. Go to Content Filtering.
  3. Click on the link of the list of policies that you want to apply CF Violation Forwarding.
  4. Go to the Action tab > Action Settings.
  5. Enable the feature by checking one or both of the following boxes, depending on your preference:
    • forward to sender’s manager or specific mailbox
    • forward to email address(es)

  6. Click the Save button to save the changes.
