Backing up the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) server data

Summary

Get a copy of DLP server security policies and user roles when you encounter any of the following:

  • System crash
  • Rebuilding DLP server
  • Creating a new DLP server
 
The new DLP server must have the same version and build as the backup source.

To export the running security policies and user roles via DLP web console:

 
DLP database will be deleted and exported except the archived report files, fingerprint scheduled jobs, data discovery scheduled jobs, and agent settings log configuration.
  1. Go to Administration > Data Management.
  2. Click the Data Management Control tab.
  3. Click Export file from system data repository.
  4. Select Full Data Export.
  5. Click Start.
