DLP 5.5 Hot fix Build 1387 enables the DLP to properly identify the character type. For more information, check the Hotfix B1387 Readme file.
Hot fix release date: 11/1/2012
To obtain the hot fix:
Note: For Premium Support or TAM Services customers, contact your Technical Account Manager.
  1. Contact Trend Micro Technical Support through the Service Request Form.
  2. Use the following information in the Problem Details section:
    • Title: hotfix request from Solution ID EN-1095452
    • Problem Category: Update/Rollback Issues
    • Description: Provide a description of your server configuration including the following details:
      • Specify the product build you currently have on your server.
      • Give a description of the symptoms your server is experiencing.
To install the hotfix
  1. Manually upload the hotfix package to the DLP server:
    1. On the DLP web console, navigate to Update > Endpoints > Staging Environment.
    2. On the Patches tab, click Manually Upload Update.
    3. Click Browse.
    4. Browse and select the hotfix package file, and then click Install.
  2. Navigate to Update > Endpoints > Staging Environment > Patches.
  3. Select LP_55_EN_hfb1387_11012012 and click Install Updates to deploy the hotfix to the Staging environment or both the Staging and Production environments.
Notes:
  • If silent reboot is enabled, the DLP client performs a scheduled restart after installation of the hotfix.
  • If silent reboot is disabled, the DLP client displays a message several minutes after installation of the hotfix. Click OK to automatically restart the computer after 30 seconds. Click Cancel to manually restart the computer at a later time.
  • Installation will not be completed until the computer is restarted.
To uninstall and roll back to the previous build:
If the hotfix has been deployed to the production environment:
  1. Navigate to Update > Production Environment.
  2. Select the hotfix package and click Rollback.
If the hotfix has been deployed only to the staging environment:
  1. Navigate to Update > Staging Environment.
  2. Select the hotfix package and click Rollback.
If the issue persists:
  1. Generate the appropriate log files on the system experiencing issues using the Case Diagnostic Tool (CDT).
  2. Contact Trend Micro Technical Support and provide the log files.
