[Hotfix] B1078 Data Loss Prevention (DLP) agent cannot skip files accessed by the user with domain name

Summary
After a user adds a domain name to the global approved/blocked list, DLP agent is unable to skip the files that are being accessed by the user using the domain name.

DLP 5.6 Hotfix B1078 ensures that the DLP agent skips files according to the global approved/blocked list. Check the Readme file for more information.
Hot fix release date: 10/24/2012
To obtain the hot fix:
Note: For Premium Support or TAM Services customers, contact your Technical Account Manager.
  1. Contact Trend Micro Technical Support via Service Request Form.
  2. Use the following information in the Problem Details section:
    • Title:Hot fix request from Solution ID EN-1095452
    • Problem Category:Update/Rollback Issues
    • Description:Provide a description of your server configuration including the following details:
      • Specify the product build you currently have on your server.
      • Give a description of the symptoms your server is experiencing.
To install the hot fix:
  1. Manually upload the hot fix package to the DLP server.
    1. On the DLP web console, navigate to Update > Endpoints > Staging Environment.
    2. On the Patches tab, click Manually Upload Update.
    3. Click Browse.
    4. Browse and select the hot fix package file, and then click Install.
  2. Navigate to Update > Endpoints > Staging Environment > Patches.
  3. Select LP_56_EN_hfb1078_10252012 and click Install Updates to deploy the hot fix to the Staging environment or both the Staging and Production environments.
    Notes:
    • If silent reboot is enabled, the DLP client performs a scheduled restart after installing the hot fix.
    • If silent reboot is disabled, the DLP client displays a message several minutes after installing the hot fix. Click OK to automatically restart the computer after 30 seconds. Click Cancel to manually restart the computer at a later time.
    • Installation will not be completed until the computer is restarted.
To uninstall and roll back to the previous build:
If the hot fix has been deployed to the production environment:
  1. Navigate to Update > Production Environment.
  2. Select the hot fix package and click Rollback.
If the hot fix has been deployed only to the staging environment:
  1. Navigate to Update > Staging Environment.
  2. Select the hot fix package and click Rollback.
If the issue persists:
  1. Generate the appropriate log files on the system experiencing issues using the Case Diagnostic Tool (CDT).
  2. Contact Trend Micro Technical Support and provide the log files.
