The OPS removal will be as follows:

  1. OPS will not be available in the License Information page:

    Outbreak Prevention Services License Information

  2. Any status or alert with regards to OPS (e.g. license expired), will not appear anymore.
  3. The following will still be accessible in OPS:
    • Policies
    • History
    • Settings

    Take note of the following:

    1. If there is an Outbreak Prevention Services activation code entered which is not yet expired before the TMCM patch or Service Pack was installed, it is still possible to download new OPS policies and enable Outbreak Prevention mode. When the activation code expires, it will not be possible to download new policies, but it is still possible to start and stop the Outbreak Prevention Mode.
    2. If there is an expired Outbreak Prevention Services activation code entered before the TMCM patch or Service Pack was installed, it is not possible to download any new policies, but it is still possible to start and stop Outbreak Prevention mode.
    3. If there was no Outbreak Prevention Services activation code entered before the TMCM patch or fix was installed, it is possible to view the settings, but it is not possible to download any policies and start the Outbreak Prevention Mode.
  4. If Outbreak Prevention Mode was enabled before the patch or service pack was started, it is still possible to stop Outbreak Prevention Mode, even after the patch or Service Pack was installed.

You can also unhide the OPS on the TMCM server by doing the following:

  1. Open the ..\Program Files\Trend Micro\Control Manager\SystemConfiguration.xml file using a text editor.
  2. Locate the "m_iEnableOPS" key and set the appropriate value.
    • m_iEnableOPS=0

(Default) disables the option, OPS information, license status, and alerts are hidden.

    • m_iEnableOPS=1

Enables the option, OPS information, license status, and alerts are visible.

  3. Save the changes and close the file.
  4. Restart the following TMCM services:
