"Unable to communicate with the Full Disk Encryption service..." appears when the Windows loads

Summary

The following error message appears when Windows loads and users cannot view the status of the drive:

Unable to communicate with the Full Disk Encryption service. Please check the status of Full Disk Encryption.

This issue happens when the Windows User Account or the Authenticated User is not a member of the Windows group called "Users".

To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Run window, type "lusrmgr.msc" and then click OK. This will open the Local Users and Groups window.
  2. On the left pane, click on Groups, and then double-click Users on the right pane.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Add the user to the Group.
