Summary

The following error message appears when Windows loads and users cannot view the status of the drive:

Unable to communicate with the Full Disk Encryption service. Please check the status of Full Disk Encryption.

This issue happens when the Windows User Account or the Authenticated User is not a member of the Windows group called "Users".

To resolve the issue, add the user account to the Users group by following the Microsoft article Add a user account to a group.
