Can I view the list of new Honeypot email addresses that are created for my account?
HES has no UI function to view the created Honeypot email addresses. Please contact Trend Micro Technical Support to get the Honeypot email addresses.
How can I benefit from joining this program?
Joining the program gives you faster, customized solutions based on spam sent to your environment, as well as enhanced security against spear phishing and advanced persistent threats. When you participate in this program, customized Honeypot email addresses will be created for your domain in order to catch spam and phishing emails. Solutions are developed from spam sent to your organization and quickly released to better protect your environment as attacks occur.
What happens if I joined the program but have no Active Directory Synchronization Client installed on my environment?
The program is for customers who enabled Directory Management (Valid Recipients List). If you joined the progrma but didn’t enable Directory Management, Honeypot email addresses won’t be created for your account.
What happens if I uninstall Active Directory Synchronization Client or disabled Directory Management (Valid Recipient listing) but forgot to discontinue my participation in this program?
HES regularly checks which account has an enabled valid recipient list. Your participation to the program will automatically discontinued once HES detects that the valid recipient list is disabled on your account.
Will this cause degradation in the processing of my emails?
No. There should be no effect in email processing.
When cancelling participation, how soon before all Honeypot email addresses are removed?
Email addresses will be removed within five (5) minutes.
I enabled Directory Management (Valid Recipient List) but I am not using Active Directory Synchronization Client. I import valid email addresses by CSV file. Can I participate in this program?
Yes. The program is for customers who enabled Directory Management (Valid Recipients List).
