If upgrading to TMCM 6.0 is unsuccessful, perform the following steps to roll back to your TMCM 5.0/5.5 system
Rolling back a TMCM 6.0 server to TMCM 5.0/5.5
Use one of the following methods to roll back the TMCM 5.0/5.5 system:
- Roll back from a TMCM server and database backup
- Roll back from an entire operating system of the server and the TMCM database backup
To roll back from a TMCM server and database backup, do the following:
- Remove the TMCM 6.0 server.
- Install the TMCM 5.0/5.5 server.
- Apply the required TMCM 5.0/5.5 service packs and hot fixes.
Apply only the service packs and hot fixes that the original TMCM 5.0/5.5 server had installed.
- Restore the TMCM 5.0/5.5 database with the backup database.
- Restore all the TMCM 5.0/5.5 folders with the backed up folders.
- Restore TMCM 5.0/5.5 registries with the backed up registries.
- Restore all the files under ..\Trend Micro\CmKeyBackup\*.*.
- Import the old certificate.
To roll back from an entire Operating System of the server and the TMCM database backup, do the following:
- Restore the TMCM 5.0/5.5 database with the backup database.
- Restore the operating system of the server with the backed up operating system.
Rolling Back a Cascading Environment
To do this:
- Unregister all child TMCM servers from the parent TMCM server.
- Roll back the parent TMCM server.
- Roll back all child TMCM servers.
- Apply TMCM service packs and hot fixes.
- Register all child TMCM servers to the parent TMCM server.
