This error occurs due to a missing Registry key named Min_PLM_Version_supported with value “1.0.0.0” located in the following directory:
  • For 32-bit version:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\service\Information\
  • For 64-bit version:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\service\Information\
To resolve this issue:
Important: Always back up the whole registry before making any modifications. Incorrect changes to the registry can cause serious system problems.
  1. Log in to the WFBS server using an administrator account.
  2. Download the tool according to your Operating Systems (OS) version:
  3. Extract the file using the password “trend”.
    Password: trend
  4. Run the Start XXBits.bat file with administrator privileges, where XX means the OS version.

  5. Press any key to continue.
  6. Execute the Trend Micro Plug-in Manager installation again.
  7. Click Next.
    Correct Installation
  8. Verify that the installation is completed successfully by logging in to the WFBS server again and selecting Preferences > Plug-Ins.
