The VDI option was initially released in build 1023, and then it was released in build 1049. The build 1049 resolves the issue when you cannot install VDI on OfficeScan.

To install the plug-in:

 
For OfficeScan 10.5, make sure that the Plug-in Manager is installed before installing VDI.
  1. Open the Registry Editor.

  2. Go to either of the following registry locations:
    • For 32-bit servers:

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\
      service\AoS\OSCE_ADDON_VDI\1_1_1.0.1023

    • For 64-bit servers:

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\TrendMicro\OfficeScan\
      service\AoS\OSCE_ADDON_VDI\1_1_1.0.1023

  3. Change the value of Status to "3".
  4. Download the installer packages.
  5. Extract the files. These .zip files should appear:
    • VDIPatchAgent.zip
    • AddonSvcVDI.zip
  6. Place the .zip files under ...\OfficeScan\PCCSRV\Download\Product\enu.
  7. Restart the following OSCE services:
    • OfficeScan Master Service
    • OfficeScan Active Directory Integration Service
    • OfficeScan Plug-in Manager
  8. Log on to the OSCE console and go to Plug-in Manager.
  9. Click the Install button to install Virtual Desktop Support.
