The OSCE client/agent TmpProxy prevents the VMware vCenter components from running properly.

Resolve this issue by adding the VMware processes to the TmProxy white list:

  1. Go to the OSCE server ...\PCCSRV folder.
  2. Open the ofcscan.ini file using a text editor.
  3. Add the following keys under the [Global Setting] section along with the assigned values:

    [Global Setting]
    SEG_WhiteListProcNum=2
    SEG_WhiteListProc0=vpxd.exe
    SEG_WhiteListProc1=vmware-usbarbitrator.exe
    SEG_WhiteListProc2=vmware-updatemgr.exe

  4. Save and close the file.
  5. Log on to the OfficeScan web console and do one of the following:
    • For OfficeScan 11.0/XG, go to Agents > Global Agent Settings.
    • For OfficeScan 10.6 and below, go to Networked Computers > Global Client Settings.
  6. Click Save to deploy the settings to the clients.

    Once the global settings are deployed to the OfficeScan client computers, the following registry keys will be installed:

    [HKLM\SOFTWARE\TrendMicro\NSC\TmProxy\WhiteList]
    SEG_WhiteListProcNum=2
    SEG_WhiteListProc0=vpxd.exe
    SEG_WhiteListProc1=vmware-usbarbitrator.exe
    SEG_WhiteListProc2=vmware-updatemgr.exe

  7. Restart the OfficeScan NT Proxy service on the OfficeScan client computers.
