Restricting access to Shareable Links to registered SafeSync users only

Summary
By default, Shareable links can be accessed by anyone even without a SafeSync for Enterprise account. As an added security, an administrator may want to restrict access to shareable links to registered users only.

To restrict Shareable Links access to registered SafeSync for Enterprise users only, do the following:
  1. Log on to the SafeSync Admin web console.
  2. Go to Policies tab.
  3. Open the users policy whom the restriction will be applied.
  4. Select the option force users to sign in to access shareable links.
  5. Click on Save.
The restriction will now apply to all users/groups whom the policy applies to. All Shareable Links they created will require the users accessing the links to log in first using their SafeSync for Enterprise accounts.
If the restriction must be applied to all users, configure all policies to have the same setting or restrictions.
