Summary

The following pop-up message may appear when you install or upgrade the OSCE agent on a Windows Server 2008 platform:

"The IIS service on this computer may not work as expected because of a conflict between the Windows Filtering Platform and the OfficeScan firewall. Please restart the IIS service to avoid encountering this problem."

Public

The OSCE agent displays this pop-up message to inform users about the conflict between OSCE's network driver (TMTDI.sys) and IIS 7.0. All websites hosted by IIS will not work when this occurs.

To prevent this issue, restart the IIS service (World Wide Web Publishing Services).

Microsoft has already provided a fix for this issue. This will not occur on Windows Server 2008 SP2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 or later. If you encounter this message on Windows Server 2008 SP2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 or later, you can ignore it.

Previous versions of OSCE clients (version 8.0, 10.0) do not check OS versions, so it will trigger the pop-up message even if the issue doesn't actually occur.
